Madhumitha Rajesh
January 2026, I made a resolution to stop running from AI and just figure it out. So I did. Built RAG pipelines. Read through the EU AI Act and US regulations. Got deep into algorithmic fairness and what responsible AI actually means in practice. Then pushed myself into my first hackathon in February thinking it would be too hard, won it. Did 6-7 more. Won first place at AIMS 2026 with Halo. I'm a little obsessed now.
Before that: BS in Computer Graphics Technology from Purdue, 2024. My first internship was at Collins Aerospace, a UX designer working on aerospace avionics, which taught me that design genuinely matters when the stakes are high. Co-founded BeSync, a health and wellness platform. It didn't scale. That failure taught me more than any class ever did. Now I'm an MS student in Information Management at UW, and I'm building something new.
Outside of work, I'm a Formula 1 fan, a tennis player, a stargazer. Aerospace has been a thing since before I could articulate why, and I'm working toward my private pilot license and can't wait to get back in the air. I like things that feel impossible until you understand them. Turns out that's most things.
